Legal DNA Paternity testing can be used to settle a number of family related legal matters such as child custody and support issues, resolving inheritance disputers and for immigration purposes (visit the DNA Testing for Immigration purpose section for more information about this type of test).

All legal paternity testing must follow a strict chain of custody procedure to ensure that the results are admissible and defensible in a court of law.

Once your order is confirmed the Legal DNA kit will be specifically prepared for your case and will be dispatched to you within 48 hours and contains everything you will need for the test, including the submission forms, sampling instructions and the sampling kits.

The cost of Legal DNA Paternity test is $895. This price is exclusive of any fees charged by the Sampler. The copy of the results will be sent to you initially by email. A hard copy of all the documentation will follow around 10 days later and this will be signed and documented by a notary.

Sampler

Samples must be collected through a neutral third party who is normally a doctor or qualified nurse. The Sampler assumes the responsibility of verifying the identity of the parties to be tested and hence the samples. 

Identification

Each person being tested must provide two passport size photos showing your full face and wearing no hat. These photos should be endorsed by the person collecting the samples on the back as follows:

1. “I [Samplers Name] certify that this is a true likeness of ... [person’s name]”
2.  Samplers SIGNATURE
3. DATE

Each person being tested will also be required to bring at least one original ID that must be checked to confirm identity when sampling (if possible please also photocopy the ID and sign the back of it with your name, signature and date and enclose it with your samples):

Example of ID documents: Passport, Full Drivers License, National Identity Card with photo, Armed Forces ID card, Pass card issued by a Government Department or other photo ID. Certified copy of birth certificate for children tested.

Photo ID is always preferable when possible.

After your G.P has collected your samples he/she must carefully seal and label the samples and send them directly back to our offices in the self addressed envelope provided in the testing kit. At no time are any of the people participating in the test to come into contact with the samples after they have been submitted and collected.
